MP calls for urgent help to restore Community Centre following suspected arson attack.12.00.00am GMT Wed 19th Nov 2008 Speaking in reaction to news that the fire that struck the Barlow Moor Community Centre in Chorlton over the weekend may have been started deliberately, John Leech MP has today called for the necessary repair work to be treated as urgent. John Leech said: 'It's crucial that we get the Community Centre up and running again as soon as possible. I've been talking to firefighters and local residents since the event and this fire has come as a devastating blow for the many people who have come to rely on the Centre.' 'The Centre has thrived for over 15 years since its opening and it can't be left in ruin. I have therefore contacted the Council to request that they tackle the problem urgently, so that the centre can be fully restored and back in business soon.' <ENDS>
