Nick and John receive "Shop Local" bags for life.

John Leech welcomed Lib Dem Leader Nick Clegg to the Manchester Withington constituency as he visited Chorlton last Thursday.

He was meeting business leaders in Manchester to discuss the economic downturn and what we as a party would do differently. Then Nick had a look around Chorlton to see what the best of it's independent shops had to offer.

Nick and John visited Unicorn, the popular organic supermarket and then Busy Bee Toy Shop - recently brought back from the brink by another co-operative (the first co-op Toy Shop in the country).

John Leech said, "It's vital that Chorlton retains it's independent shops during the recession. That's why we're both backing the "Keep Chorlton Interesting" campaign."
