John Leech MP joined other residents of South Manchester in attending the Green Festival last weekend in Chorlton.

John said, "I am delighted by the response to the Green Festival and I was impressed by the variety of events on during the day. I am sure that this Festival's popularity will grow year on year."

Local Councillor Paul Ankers also praised the organisation of the festival, "I saw tremendous crowds at lunchtime I think the films on show were excellent. The music in the big tent was popular and I think a good time was had by all."

John also joined the BusyBee Toy Shop collective in raising awareness of its co-op scheme. They currently have over 100 members and the toy shop now hopes to reopen in May.
