Ewing School Campaigners pick up the PACE

The weekend proved to be a busy one in Chorlton as John joined Ewing School campaigners and the parent group PACE in collecting signatures against the proposed closure. The group managed to collect 500 more signatures bringing the combined total to over 7000.

John Leech MP said, "This clearly shows the amount of anger local people have about the proposals to close this successful school down. The fact that the Council have said that it will close by 2012, despite a supposed consultation which has only just started, is ridiculous."
